12.06. 7.00 p.m. | GZUT Gliwice, ul. Robotnicza 2
After a few years’ absence, the Arte dei Suonatori orchestra returns to the All’improvviso Festival — an ensemble that needs no introduction and is considered one of the foundations of historically informed performance practice in Poland. Under the guest direction of harpsichordist Marcin Świątkiewicz, the artists will present a programme exploring Polish threads in Baroque music.
The audience will hear works by Johann Sebastian Bach, while the concert will also be connected with the premiere of the ensemble’s latest album featuring harpsichord concertos by Johann Gottlieb Janitsch — whose music will also be performed in Gliwice. The evening will additionally feature the festival audience’s well-known gambist Krzysztof Firlus, performing one of the concertos by Johann Gottlieb Graun.
